It is now my 'go to' always on box on my pedal board because all you really notice is the sustain. I ended up tweaking the design to include a blend control, then increased the amount of compression some (since I can now blend which gives me parallel compression). The nice thing about an Orange Squeezer is that when properly calibrated, you don't really know it is there. I've built four or five of the original Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezers. If it nails the OS sound it would be worth checking out. Not sure if you could even use it with a strat. The Orange Juicer is based on the Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer.This effect pedal is well known for its smooth compression.Originally, it was designed to be mounted directly on the guitar, but the Orange Juicer is adapted to the stompbox format to fit a standard aluminium enclosure. Tried them both on my bass and the Orange Squeezer sounded good, the DynaComp was too much compression. The originals had a male 1/4 built in so you'd plug it right into your output. I was digging through my old guitar gear and found my old Orange Squeezer and MXR DynaComp. I don't know this plugin, but the EH Orange Squeezer was an equally special, though different, guitar compressor in the day, similar in that you'd plug it in to get "that"sound and usually subtlety was not on the menu.
